Luzhba is a small train station and village in Kemerovo region, Western Siberia. This is a southern part of Kuznetskiy Alatau mountain range. The place is famous for it's early and heavy snowfalls. Most of the time we ski treeline zone, with open glades. Runs – from 250 to 700 vertical meters, slopes - from 25 to 35 degrees. Dates 2018/2019 (dates of arriving to Abakan and departing from):
Due to its remote location, we can only reach Luzhba by suburban train, which goes just once a day.
Friday: Evening flight from Moscow to Abakan city.
Saturday: Arrive in Abakan; transfer to Biskamzha train station, suburban train to Luzhba; check-in to Luzhba lodge late afternoon.
Sunday to Friday: Ski tour/splitboarding - full days.
Saturday: Early morning departure from Luzhba on suburban train to Biskamzha station; transfer to Abakan city; overnight in the hotel.
Sunday: Morning flight to Moscow.
Price, 2018-2019 season: 1810 EUR per person. Max group size – 6 guests plus guide
airport; tickets to suburban train.
Not included in the price:
There are two separate mountain huts. First hut – bedrooms, drying room, toilets, wash basins. Banya (Russian bathhouse) is a separate building. The hut has several rooms (3, 4 and 5-persons). Type of the room depends on availability. Beds has a bed linen and blankets. Second hut – kitchen and common dining room.
Skiing in Siberia works under the standards of Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG), Russian Mountain Guide Association (RMGA) and Canadian Avalanche Association (CAA). The tour is guided by Peter Schön, Apprentice Ski Guide and CAA Level 3, in cooperation with Grigory Mintsev, lead guide of Skiing in Siberia and ACMG Ski Guide.
